Mary serves as Citigroup’s Chief Compliance Officer, a role she has held since June 2020. Four months before federal authorities announced enforcement proceedings and a $400 million civil money penalty for failing to resolve long-standing risk management flaws, Mary assumed control of the worldwide company’s compliance risk management division. Mary formerly worked for Citi as the company’s top auditor and executive in the company’s Latin American and Mexican divisions. Before joining Citi, Mary also held crucial positions at Lloyds Banking Group, JPMorgan Chase, Barclays, and Santander.
