Karen currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at American Business Bank. American Business Bank is a well-respected boutique Bank just shy of $4 billion in assets serving commercial concerns and their owners in the greater Los Angeles area. Before joining ABB, Karen was the EVP CFO of California United Bank from 2009 until its sale in 2017. Karen is also in charge of public reporting, the finance department, and the Bank’s technological sections. Before joining CUB, Karen was Executive Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer of Premier Business Bank in Los Angeles. From 2001 through 2008, she worked as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of California National Bank, overseeing the Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Accounting, Treasury, Asset and Liability Management, General Services, and Corporate Real Estate divisions. Before that, she worked from 1985 to 1992 at Ernst & Young.
