Jodie most recently served as EVP & COO of First Interstate Bank. At First Interstate, she oversaw efforts to modernize the financial institution’s operations, boost creativity, and enhance customer service. Before joining First Interstate Bank, Jodie worked as the Executive Vice President and Risk Management Director at Zions in Salt Lake City.
Jodie started her banking career as a management trainee in 1987 in Portland, Oregon. However, most of her considerable experience has been in the Western United States, working for institutions including The Commerce Bank of Oregon, Zions Bancorporation, US Bancorp, and Centennial Bank. Jodie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Portland, obtained a Villanova University Human Resource Management Certificate, and finished Wharton’s RMA Advanced Risk Management program in 2016.
Jodie is a native Portlander and lifelong banking professional. She joined The Commerce Bank of Oregon in 2007 and rose to President and CEO in 2012. In 2015, she played a crucial role in the merger of Zions Bancorporation’s wholly-owned subsidiary, The Commerce Bank of Oregon, with The Commerce Bank of Washington.
