Kirsten is an EVP in charge of congressional relations and legislative affairs for the American Bankers Association (ABA). The ABA is the lead voice in the industry, representing about $23 trillion in financial assets. Before assuming her role in May 2022, Kirsten was n executive Director of ‘ABA’s Card Policy Council, where she led policy and legislative issues on card and payment issues. Before joining ABA, Kirstin served as the chief of staff for former CFPB Director Kathy Kraninger. At the CFPB, Kirstin was engaged in policy and strategic priorities within the Bureau and initiated and facilitated cross-agency coordination with other regulatory agencies. Before her time at the CFPB, Kirstin spent more than a decade on Capitol Hill, serving most recently as majority staff director of the House Financial Services Committee under Chairman Jeb Hensarling.
