Bonnie is the CEO of Hanmi Financial Corporation and Hanmi Bank, the first Korean American BBank established in 1982. Bonnie has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry. She joined Hanmi in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer and was later named President and CEO in 2019. During her stint at Hanmi, the Bank’s assets doubled. Before her tenure at Hanmi, Bonnie was initially SVP and COO at BBCN Bank and where she was briefly acting interim President in 2013. Earlier in her career, Bonnie was also a senior executive at South Korea’s $1.4 billion Shinhan Bank America from September 2008 to March 2009 and at the defunct Nara Bank from April 2005 to September 2008, respectively.
