Catherine is the President and CEO of Central Pacific Bank in Hawaii. The Bank is approximately $7.4 billion in assets and operates 27 branches and 65 ATMs in the Hawaiian Islands. The Bank was founded by a small group of World War II veterans in 1954 to help immigrant families build a life away from the plantations. The Bank has grown to serve the financial needs of all families and small businesses in the Islands. Central Pacific Bank is the fourth largest state-chartered Bank out of seven banks and boasts the fourth largest depository base out of thirteen banks doing business in the state. The Bank supports homeownership and small businesses and is the market leader in Hawaii’s residential mortgage and SBA originations. Before joining Central Pacific Bank in 2015, Catherine held prominent leadership roles in the financial industry, including executive vice president and general counsel at Silicon Valley Bank in California. In addition, Catherine is notably the founding general partner at Startup Capital Ventures in Hawaii.
