Dorothy is the sole shareholder of Cape Cod 5, an independent state-chartered financial company created in 1855. Cape Cod 5 employs about 500 people in Cape Cod, the Islands, and Southeastern Massachusetts. Dorothy is also the Chair of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust, which has over $14 million in assets. Dorothy joined Cape Cod 5 in 1993 as a commercial loan officer and was promoted to COO President in 2004 and CEO in 2005. In addition, the Federal Reserve Board selected Dorothy to serve as President of their Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC) for a second term in 2021 after serving on the council as President in 2020 and as a member in 2019.
