Laena is senior counsel for the American Bankers Association and Advisor to CEO Rob Nichols. In this role, she has oversight responsibilities for the internal and external functions of the association, particularly those concerning communications, political engagement, and policy. Leona has a deep and rich Washington, DC, resume emphasizing communications. Before joining the ABA, Laena was VP of communications for the Financial Services Forum, Communications Director and Press Secretary for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and Communications Director and Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Judd Gregg.
