May joined Cathay Bank in late 2015 as Associate General Counsel. In mid-2020, May assumed Bank’s General Counsel role. In her role as General Counsel, May advises executive members and the board on existing and new laws and legal rights that might impact the Bank. Additionally, May oversees the legal matters of the Bank as a whole and corporate governance matters. May attended the University of Southern California, earning her undergraduate degree in international finance. In addition, May obtained her Doctorate in Law from the University of California, Berkeley.
