Sheri is an EVP and Chief People Officer for Umpqua Bank. Sheri started her career as National Account Client Services Director for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. In 2001, she joined J.P. Morgan as an Organizational Development Consultant and transitioned into the senior HR Business Partner role. In 2006, Sheri moved to KeyBank, where she assumed the SVP, Human Resources role. In 2014, Sheri joined Umpqua Bank as an EVP and Chief People Officer. Since she began working there in 2014, Sheri has had the same place at Umpqua Bank. Sheri Burns attended the University of Washington and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She attended Sonoma State University to get her master’s degree in organization development and graduated with that degree. They collaborate with Executive Vice President Kevin Skinner, in charge of home lending; Executive Vice President Ron Farnsworth, in finance; and Executive Vice President Andrew Ognall, in charge of legal affairs. Sheri Burns reports to Cort O’Haver, who serves as this president and Chief Executive Officer.
