Vivian is the EVP, General Counsel, and Chief People Person for Hanmi Bank. Before pursuing a law degree, Vivian worked as a mortgage firm’s investor relations and fraud detection professional. Then she worked as a corporate lawyer for Hanmi Bank after leaving Dykema Gossett LLP as an associate handling sophisticated business disputes. In 2017 Vivian was promoted to chief legal officer, and during the 2020 pandemic, she served as the temporary chief human resources officer leading the COVID-19 task team. In 2021, Vivian was elevated to executive vice president and chief people officer. In addition, she worked proactively with other divisions to ensure the Bank could help its clients and the community throughout the epidemic by participating in the PPP program and offering general counsel and legal guidance.
